About this Talk

THIS DISCUSSION GROUP SESSION HAS NOW ENDED AND WAS NOT RECORDED. PLEASE JOIN US FOR NEXT MONTH'S SESSION - GO TO THE DISCUSSION GROUPS TAB TO SEE THE SCHEDULE FOR FURTHER SESSIONS.

Join us for the fourth Discussion Group of 2021.

In this session we will be focussing on Meir Lotan's talk on the impact of motor movement & planning difficulties and of positioning issues on communication.

In his talk he described a range of different solutions for lying, sitting, standing and walking, including the need for appropriate, supportive seating for focused activities. Did you find his ideas helpful? What physical difficulties does the person with Rett syndrome in your family or your classroom encounter that impact their communication? What solutions have you tried and found helpful? Whether they are young or old, mobile or not, whether you have physio support or not, whether you are a parent or a physio or speech therapist, or a teacher or personal support assistant, why not come along to this session and share your challenges and your ideas.

To watch Meir's talk again, click on the Replays tab and select his talk from 18th November 2020.
