About this Talk

THIS DISCUSSION GROUP SESSION HAS NOW ENDED AND WAS NOT RECORDED. PLEASE JOIN US FOR NEXT MONTH'S SESSION - GO TO THE DISCUSSION GROUPS TAB TO SEE THE SCHEDULE FOR FURTHER SESSIONS.

Join us for the third Discussion Group of 2021.

In this session we will be focussing on Jaquie Mills' Rett Education 2020 talk on the theme of Getting Started with AAC with Adults.

Are you wondering how to help tweens, teens and adults with Rett syndrome develop friendships with peers and learn self-advocacy skills? If so, then Jaquie's talk and this Discussion Group are relevant for you. Watch the talk in advance (if you haven't already) to find out about her experience of setting up Merger of Minds Groups and MicroBoards for young people, then come along and join in the conversation. Tell us what the key take-home messages are for you and let's work out together how we can support people of all ages with Rett syndrome to move forward in the areas of friendship and self-advocacy. Help us to plan new online friendship groups.

To watch Jaquie's talk again, click on the Replays tab and select her talk from 16th November 2020.
