About this talk

This presentation aims to help you understand NHS England specialised AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) services – who they are for, how to access them and what to do if a person is not yet eligible for these services.

This will include an overview of how these services became established, the referral process, prioritisation criteria, what is expected of the referrer and what to expect from the specialised AAC service.

In addition, this presentation will address routes to AAC provision for children and adults who are not or not yet eligible for these services, and signpost useful resources.

This presentation will be 30 minutes and will be available to watch as a replay until 20th November 2021.
